Etienne Farrell (b. 1974) is a contemporary multimedia artist based in Malta. Her practice centres on the interpretation of emotive and socially engaged themes, often inviting reflection, dialogue and participation. Working across gallery-based and site-specific contexts, her work spans painting, sculpture, installation, interactive art for social change, videography and photography.

Farrell’s work has been presented internationally in both solo and collective exhibitions, including in Arles, Paris, Brussels, Malta and Luxembourg, and forms part of the national collection of Heritage Malta.

She holds a BA in History of Art and Communication Studies, a PGCE, a PGDEAM, a Master’s degree in Interculture and Environmental Management, and a Master of Fine Arts in Digital Arts. Farrell is also a visiting lecturer within the Faculty of Media and Knowledge Sciences at the University of Malta.
